Working with a computer, Tei Gordon, 13, helps big companies same millions of dollars in heating and colling costs.  He operates a weather center from his home in Corvallis, Oregon.  Tei feeds into the computer the official temperature reading for 210 United States cities.  The machine sorts the readings according to Tei’s commands.  The results help clients discover if their buildings are using too much energy for heating and cooling.  Here, Tei reads a printout of his weekly report.  He makes about $2,000 a year with his weather service.
